I hope that When you grow up,
You know we did our best
So you won’t end up like the rest
Of this world when we were young.
When this doomsday clock gets closer
And we wake from this hangover
We’ll stand and rebuild a brand new day.
I’m twice your age you are right now
but you have Twice my heart.
The revolution knows no difference
You’re with us from the start.
In this post apocalyptic world
With villains and their schemes.
You’ll be the silver linings
We see on silver screens
Protest boys: Make some noise until the static converts.
Riot Girls: Raise some hell like it’s your last night on earth.
Don’t bite your tongue when yelled at.
Just bite the hand that feeds.
Show your sweat and tears
But don’t you let them see you bleed.
A person is a person, no matter what’s said
Or written on their tombstone
when they’re dead.
So Fight your laws and know your rights
To sleeping well and say good night
To anyone you good and damn well please.
There’s no easy way to say
That Things are hard now.
There’s no easy way
To fix all of our faults
The monsters you’re afraid of
that lie underneath your bed
Are least of what you’ll face
That lies ahead.

Paper Hearts
05:46
|
|||
“You’re wearing me down”
She screams as she wears the clothes
I took right off my back.
“You are my sunshine”
She sings
But it’s been 3 damn days
and all I’ve seen is god damn rain.
I’ve walked a thousand miles
Handing out these paper hearts.
I wore upon my sleeve.
But like a cigarette,
They’re burned and I am dragged
Along the streets.
Don’t count on me
To run right back to you.
I’m crawling out my skin
To learn to walk again.
Another lonesome night
Another drunken stroll
Back to shanty town called “sanity”
At least I have all my friends
Inside of whiskey bottles
That were full before I got them.
I’ll raise one last glass
To all the tell tale gods I hate
And ones keep me upon my toes.
So fill me up with one more cup of
Top shelf happiness
Before I see my bitter end.
I’ve lived with all my demons
While sleeping with denial
But I’d give it all to
Wake up with one smile.

Homegrown & Hellbound
04:07
|

Welcome one and all
To the fallen promised land.
Raise up the burning bush
and light up this cross.
We dropped the ball
And in return they dropped bomb.
I’m screaming to billboards
“There’s no place like home”
In hopes that a savior
will pick up their phone.
But All our heroes left us
Sniffing coke from 9-5
Inside a corporate America wet dream
Where the wealthy will survive
While the rest of us are destitute.
The middle man can’t follow suit.
We are homesick
But not by our design.
How will we live
When there’s nothing left but cigarettes
And the sins left from our fathers?
Where will we go?
The benevolent are the desolate
Seeking refuge in the gutter.
Oh when the saints
One by one go marching in
With Three Piece
suits and charming devil grins,
They’ll remind us, that
Cursed are the meek,
Yet they were the ones
that destroyed and enslaved
The so called American Dream that they craved.
And every days the same routine:
Destroy, Rebuild, Repent
until a white washed God shows
Not to save but circumvent
Every faggot, spic, and nigger
When the cops will pull the trigger.
25 to life, but no much life to go.

Campfire Chords
(Verse 1)
The clouds have blocked the stars.
Can’t find the way back home.
There’s no sign of north
And nowhere else to roam.
But I have three chords
And all these fucking sticks.
I’ll make myself at home
with this easy fix.
(Chorus)
Take all of your problems and wild desires,
throw them into the pit of this camp fire.
When the fire dies, you can move along.
Wipe away the ashes and sing this song.
(Verse 2)
The trees have shown their age.
Outside they’re worn thin.
Inside there lies strength
And even thicker skin.
I could learn from them
How to stand my ground.
And with the slightest fall
I’ll make the biggest sound.
(Chorus X2)
(Instrumental)
(Chorus X2)
(Outro)
The stars won’t lead you home
But they can help you dream.
So make your own path
And follow your own gleam.
